One of the spectacular and enjoyable trip you should do is to go for a Nile Cruise whilst in Egypt. The most popular route is either from Luxor to Aswan or Aswan to Luxor.
Nile cruises are very popular ways to see the cultural and archeological attractions on the way. Not only you'll have a full guided tour, but you can also enjoy the scenic views from the river.
You can choose from between 3 to up to 7 nights trip on a cruise, depending on how much time you have and depending on places you want to visit. Due to our limited time, we've decided to go for a 4 night tour from Luxor to Aswan. There are many companies that are offering different packages, but in many ways, those tours are very similar. We went with Egypt Tours Portal, and we are very happy with their kind tour guide and customer service they have offered us throughout the time. We've got picked up at the hotel and drop off at the airport in Aswan on our last day. Therefore there is no need to worry about finding the boat or sorting out how to get to this tour as they do offer pick up & drop off services.
The boat we were in was an okay "accommodations", very basic standards but it does what it does. The boat had variety of facilities, including a bar, a top decker with a small pool and various activities in the evenings, such as afternoon tea or Egyptian night dancing party. However, there was no wifi onboard and you can watch TV only when the boat is not sailing, thus it really force you to switch off digital devices on this trip.
Nevetrheless, the experience was joyful and very mesmerizing. We've seen many places along the way, including Luxor and Aswan.
