Marriott Mena House is a beautiful hotel complex in Giza with a magical view of pyramids, one of the natural wonders of the world. In fact, to get to the pyramids area and Sphinx, it is just a few minutes from the hotel. Nevertheless, since the hotel amenity is located in Giza, it is not the most convenient area if you wish to explore Cairo and its streets. With frequent traffic in Cairo, it usually takes an hour to get from the hotel to Cairo.

This beautiful hotel is such an amazing escape surrounded by lush of greens, a heated pool, spa, 24/7 gym, and relaxing lounges and restaurants. We stayed in a suite room overlooking their beautiful garden and spoiled by the kind staff in the hotel.

Our room was fitted with a small walk-in closet, bathtub with views on gardens, a spacious bathroom, lounge area, work desk, and balcony space. The suites are located in a different building opposite the main building with a reception. However, the whole area is designed in a "U shape", thus easy to get around where you need to.

Guests can enjoy the beautiful pyramids views from the garden and breakfast area. Imagine sipping your cup of tea or coffee in the morning with the view. It was absolutely a dreamy place. Their breakfast area was delicious, with a wide range of continental and oriental choices.

If you are a Marriott member, you can have access to their membership lounge as well, where you can enjoy drinks and snacks all day long. They do serve breakfast and dinners as well. However, if your room includes breakfast already, then why not enjoy them outside with the view.

Marriott Mena House is a definitely great escape from the chaotic and busy streets of Cairo. Even though it may be further away from the city center, it is a definitely great hotel choice. We have spent a couple first nights in a hotel in Zamalek in Cairo before we moved to Marriot Mena House in Giza, as it allowed us to be closer to the city to explore Cairo more. Therefore I would also recommend staying here for those who have been in Cairo previously or as your second hotel in the city.

Certainly a place where I would love to return the next time I'll be back in Cairo!
