Peek to your home office

In one of my last post, I have shared with you some tips on how to be more productive whilst working from home. At this point of time, I am confident, that many of us have managed to find the best way to suit our needs, day and routine already. By this time, we should already embrace the remote working mindset and we should already create our little working space corner at home. There is never too  late to keep your workspace re-decorated or upgraded with useful tools for your wellbeing or productivity.

Let's have a look into our home office space of few of fellow bloggers who were willing to share their insights and pics from how their working space looking like.

Karina

1. What is your name and blog?

Karina from www.karinakeepsescaping.com / Travel and Lifestyle Blog.

2. What are your office essentials?

100% notepads. I like to write everything down because sometimes I have the memory of a goldfish. Everything I need to remember or ideas I have, I like to write down and highlight them.

3. What is your occupation?

I've been in Marketing doing Social Media, WordPress and SEO for over four years now. Blogging is my side hustle.

4. What helps you being productive?

Reading articles, blogs and magazines. If I don’t feel particularly productive, I will turn on some music and exercise for half an hour, then come back to it again. I am also a big fan of vision boards and like to have them near my desk. I love to pin motivational quotes, monthly goals and reminders.

5.  How would you describe your interior style?

It varies! I don’t think that I have a specific interior style, I like boho style but I also prefer modern furniture, a white kitchen, a dark living room with high shelves packed with books and flowers by the window. With my desk corner, I looked up on Pinterest for ideas and then decided what I wanted it to look like. It took us only two days to build it from scratch. So as you can see, I am a very creative person and every room in our house expresses a totally different style!

1. What is your name and blog?

2. What are your home office essentials?

Office Essentials, are Magic White Board for when those ideas start flowing (strips of whiteboard you pull off a roll and stick to walls, can wipe clean and reuse!), Hand Cream to keep hands hydrated from all that hand washing and my Sonos, as music makes life! I love music and my playlist at the moment insists on Is Everybody Going Crazy - Nothing But Thieves, I've said from the beginning of Lockdown - Green Light by Lorde should be our release anthem, it never fails to lift a stressful mood. But my absolute go to for dancing around is Steve Wonders version of We Can Work It Out - I dare you to put it on and not feel the need to dance, it energises any stressful day!

3. What is your profession?

I'm a Corporate Communications & Events Manager, I plan large scale events normally up to 10's of thousands of delegates, sadly in the current climate I'm having to brush up my digital skills as we move to a "new normal", it's challenging but a role I love, I moved companies on 23rd March (Lock Down Day) so I'm facing more challenges than just working from home as I move to learn who everyone is, and how this new company works as I am based at home!

4. How do you keep yourself organize and productive?

I love project management tools, I'm currently using AirTable with my team it means everyone can access and see the project overview at any time, we can tag each other in for actions and create deadlines. The team I work in is spread between the UK & US this means that no matter the timezone we have an enabling facility to ensure we all keep on track, especially where we all have our own roles to fulfill and assist on each other's projects.

5. How would you describe your interior style?

My interior style is eclectic! I've set up my office in the conservatory it's bright although it does get hot on sunny days so I have to move into the garden! I've decorated in bright colours, tropical prints and a real happy vibrant energy. Every room in my house has a different style, When I finish work, I relax in my lounge, although the pictures are the imagery of my hedonistic Ibiza loves, from framed feathered wings, vintage cocktail advert and the classic Mambo's sunsets, fabrics are dark grey, with deep green velvet cushions and a single bright yellow with Pineapple button cushion, an industrial-style unit houses my record player, and my curtains are tied back with a touch to my home roots of Scotland with Kilt Sporrans. My lounge was due to be redecorated prior to the lockdown so I currently do not have plastered walls or flooring, I've just had to make the most of soft furnishings! It's a great space to chill out at the end of long days.

4. What helps you being productive?

Natural light and lists really help me be productive. I can't seem to work if it's dark and dreary!

5.  How would you describe your interior style?

I've just started getting to a place where I want to customize where I work! I would describe my style to be colourful, modern, and have some celestial touches.
