MARRAKESH
Had a pleasure to stay in a new Zwin Zwin boutique hotel which have just opened its door at the end of April. During my stay there, the ground floor haven't been fully completed yet. Thus, I am unable to comment on this, so I can only give you some sneak peak and insights into their rooms, services and rooftop cafe. In addition, in couple weeks time, you may expect a pool and spa facilities as well in the ground floor of Zwin Zwin boutique hotel.
THE LOCATION
The location is perfect for those who are seeking for the rush of market square, as it is located just about 9 minutes to the main square of Marrakesh medina. The hotel may not be dominant and straight forward from outside, but the location makes it perfect, especially for young travellers. The hotel was established by a French lady who already opened up a riad Z and Zwin Zwin Cafe in a past, so this hotel is a second project of hers and also a merge of a Zwin Zwin cafe and a new hotel.
THE ROOM & INTERIOR
There are in total 13 rooms in this hotel, all located on the second floor. All rooms are very clean, minimalist and in a modern riad style. I especially love their bathroom interior. This is something I was dreaming about to do with my future bathroom as well in my flat! Love the combination of straw, wood, YSL posters and basket decorations.Even though this may be a hotel, it is still build up on a riad style. Therefore, you won't be able to find hair dryer, air conditioner or mini fridge in your room unfortunately.The first impressions you may have from the hotel is that you will a lot of greenery against white walls and a lot of art walls on the hall ways. In addition, almost each room has its own seating area outside on the corridor, which makes it nice to chill just outside of the room.
THE VIEWS
The best views in Zwin Zwin hotel is on its top floor where the cafe and restaurant is located. This cafe place is painted in dark blue, so very contrasting to the floor where rooms are.The rooftop is very open and in the same decorations with the rest of the hotels theme. You will also find couple of sunbath decks in there for those who crave to tan. The cafe/restaurant place is not massive, so it is perfect sizing for more cozy dining and catching up with friends and families. Their menu is not massive with variety of food choices, but their menu is very healthy, vegan friendly and it is definitely something different to what you would find elsewhere.
In addition, they are looking to build a second floor of a rooftop where they will host yoga classes. The second floor of rooftop offers magical views on the Koutoubia mosque and it is even more stunning during sunset time.
THE FACILITIES
As mentioned already, during the time I have stayed at Zwin Zwin hotel, the hotel was still partially refurbishing, so the pool, spa and second floor of rooftop wasn't yet completed. Which was such a pity, as I am sure it would look so picturesque as any other riads and hotels in Morocco. In addition, Zwun Zwin boutique hotel also offers yoga and cooking classes to fully immerse yourself into Moroco.
