Mondrian Park Avenue review

NEW YORK

While discovering the beautiful and at the same time rough New York, I have stayed in the comfort of Mondrian Park Avenue Hotel in the vibrant Nomad neighbourhood.

THE LOCATION

Mondrian hotel, which is part of Morgans Hotel Group, is capturing the essence and bold energy of New York by position the hotel by walkable distance to Flat Iron district, 34th street, Empire State Building on 5th Avenue or to Time's Square. While being here, I have tend to walk around Manhattan as much as I can, even though the tube station is located few steps away. As it is so easy to reach to the Korean Town or other parts of Manhattan, we tend to go out for dinners and drinks.

THE ROOM & INTERIOR

Even though the hotel lobby and the first impression while stepping into the hotel seems to be small and intimate, the rooms and facilities were spacious and comfortable. Despite of our room having a side view on another tall building, I love the art wall decoration and the massive TV screen in our room. Not even, mentioning the bright bathroom hidden behind the big mirror. Oh, actually, there were mirror everywhere, around the TV and around the bed.

The hotel itself is modern and artsy, with attention to details. While bored in the room, I had Mondrian and New York picture guide books accessible to browse through.

THE VIEWS

Also, in New York there is an easy rooftop access in almost any building, so does Mondrian had its lounge on 5th floor but also a rooftop access. Even through the rooftop access is small, it has some great views on the surrounding and especially on the Empire State building.

PEOPLE

Lastly, not to mention that staff in the hotel were friendly and welcoming and willing to assist when needed. I would highly recommend the stay here for anyone seeking and easy Midtown Manhattan access.
