Manchester, Northern Quarter

 MANCHESTER

The Northern Quarter, Manchester’s most bohemian neighborhood, is recognised for its vibrant street art, thriving nightlife, and huge offering of places to eat and drink.

Sandwiched between Manchester Piccadilly and the Manchester Evening News Arena, the Northern Quarter’s nestled in the perfect location; whether you’re off for a pre-show meal or taking a load off after shopping.

With so much choice, deciding where to stop off for a bite to eat can be difficult. So, to help you along your way, here’s 7 of my most recommended eateries in the Northern Quarter, Manchester.

Yard & Coop

If you’re a fan of all things chicken, then you’ll love Yard & Coop. The all American themed menu delivers US-style buttermilk fried chicken with tons of tempting sides and indulgent sauces.

As well as great food, the vibrant, American themed décor makes dining at Yard & Coup a unique experience. This place is so much more than just a meal out.

Home Sweet Home

Known for signature ‘Cake-Shakes’, and home comforts, the Home Sweet Home menu is a concoction of toasties, milkshakes, burgers, fried chicken platters, and rich Tex-Mex dishes.

If you fancy a taste, be sure you have enough time to spare as this place is so popular; there’s always a queue!

Sweet Mandarin

Having won the award for Gordon Ramsey’s best local Chinese restaurant, got backing from Dragon’s Den and launched a line of signature sauces, it’s safe to say Sweet Mandarin's authentic Chinese food has glowing reviews from all angles.

As well as being famous for its amazing traditional Chinese cuisine, Sweet Mandarin also holds a weekend cookery school for those of you wanting brush up on those Chinese culinary skills.

Pieminster

In search of something more traditional? The award winning Pieminster serves up a fine selection of classic English pie with all the trimmings. Whether you want to eat in, or take away, the Pieminister menu in simple, yet far from boring!

With multiple sites throughout the UK, Pieminster is fast-becoming a firm favorite throughout Britain.

Alabama’s All-American Eatery

Alabama’s All-American Eatery is best known for its mouthwatering brunch delivering an extensive menu featuring stacks, muffins, waffles, omelets, vegan dishes, and tons more.

I’d recommend Alabama’s All-American Eatery if you’re looking for a stodgy breakfast or a light lunch.

Manchester, Northern Quarter

Trof

A fully loaded menu serving up a bit of everything; the Trof menu is infinite. From burgers to brunch, soups to salads, big plates, to pudding; and a whole host of sides- it’s safe to say there really is something for everyone.

V Rev

The old-fashioned idea that vegan food must be healthy is proved wrong time and time again at V Rev Manchester.

The menu features a huge selection of vegan junk food; from nachos with all the trimmings to ‘beef’ burgers loaded with ‘cheese’ and ‘bacon’.

Before hearing of this place, I was yet to believe vegan food could be so much more than falafel and quinoa!

Where’s your favorite Northern Quarter Eatery?

Whether you’re looking for a light bite or a fully loaded stack, Manchester’s coolest block is bursting with great eateries. Now you’ve heard my favorite places to eat in Northern Quarter, now where are yours? Shout out in the comments box below.
