When it comes to education and learning process, I can't be more grateful to my parents. Giving me opportunities and chances that I would not be able to achieve and get without them. I vividly can recall my father's quote: "Focus on your studies to the maximum now and you'll enjoy later." "Life is a continous learning process at any age". We all have those moments in life when we recall our parents words back in the days when it doesn't make sense, but now when you grow, you understand.

I have decided to dedicate this post to write about education and courses, in particular online learning. I am myself still studying and personally I understand the pressure of being full time student and sorting life out. However, I admire people who can manage distance learning, speed up their courses or learn a totally new language conversationally by themself. 

Nowadays, with the easy access of internet we are exposed to many resources where we can gain skills and knowledge from. The raise of e-courses world has been increasingly growing in the past years. People have busy lifestyles and online video courses bring them flexibility and opportunity to learn at their time and location of convenient. That's the best advantage of it. In particular, I came across VimVic.cz, which is a Czech project of online video courses which are tailored to time efficiency and value in cost. The website is offering numerous courses from different field of industry, such as IT, blogging industry, languages, business, marketing or graphics, different lecturers, and length of the course.

Let me give you top 5 personal hints why I would go for online courses learning:

I believe that online courses are inexpensive and efficient way of adding value to oneself, however, I understand the distraction of studying alone, at home or simple being online. There is no golden rule on how to avoid these distractions, as they are as same as you want to concentrate on exams or important projects. But here are my personal golden rules that I tend to follow when I need a computer and study and concentrate.

  1. Make a working place cozy (you definitelly do not want to work in a messy desk and room, as you will after a short while start cleaning and sorting out papers and doing all sort of things around, just try to avoid procrastination and distractions in any kinds.
  2. Close all tabs and mute your phone and messengers. You can survive it for couple of hours.
  3. Establish a study routine. Dedicate specific time frame and day that you will be studying online and stick to the plan.  It is important to schedule your timing, in order to complete your tasks as needed.
  4.  Treat it as another lecture from school that you HAVE to attend.
  5. Get a brain boost and maintain energy level by appropriate food and drinking!


Take from these online courses the maximum, take notes, research further points of interest and interact with others too! There are couple important criterias to consider before choosing an appropriate online course for you, such as:

  • Check the outline of the course - does it cover all you are interested in?
  • Check the profile of the tutor - who is he/she? Where does he/she has experiences from, does he/she teaches something else there too?
  • Research all available online courses in the relevant topic of your interest and pick the best that suits your interests and need
  • Check whether the course is suitable for beginners or more advanced people?
  • Check on any reviews, feedbacks of the particular course or course provider - have any other people taken the course already? are people happy about the delivery of the content? does it deliver what it is said to be delivered?
  • Check the timeline of the course - some courses may have a specific day of starting and ending, just to keep you studying regularly, does that fit to your personal timetable?

Když příjde na vzdělání, nemohu být více vděčná svým rodičům  Dali mi příležitost bez kterých bych nemohla sama dosáhnout. Mám živé v hlavě slova táty: "Soustřeď se pořádně na školu nyní a pak si můžeš užívat'' ''V jakémkoliv stádia života, člověk se bude nadále učit.". My všichni máme momenty v životě kdy slova rodičů nám zazní v uších, dříve nám to nedávalo smysl, ale čím jsme starší, tím lépe to chápeme. 

Rozhodla jsem se tento článek věnovat o vzdělání a kurzů, zejména online vzdělávání. Sama jsem stále studentkou na plný úvazek a vím jaké to je těžké vybalancovat si studijní priority a přemýšlet o budoucnosti. Závidím lidem co zvládají studium na částečný úvazek a nebo ti co si dokážou sami naučit nový cizí jazyk třeba.   2. Vypněte si nebo si ztište si mobil a messengery. Jsem si jistá, že bez nich pár hodin přežijete.
  3. Naplánujte si studijní rutinu. Vyhraďte si specifický čas a den kdy se budete věnovat studiem online, držte se plánu a jednejte tak jako kdyby to byl váš meeting v práci či povinné předměty ve škole.
  4. Najezte se, nezapomeňte pít abyste si udrželi hladinu energie

Využijte těch kurzů na maximum, pište si poznámky, vyhledávejte si dále to co nevíte či vás zajímalo a dejte se do řeči i s ostatními lidmi co mají podobnou zkušenost. Je tu pár kritérii na které bych chtěla podotknout abyste zvážili při vybírání online kurzů:
