Hello May. Helo love time and cherry blossom kisses. But why the weather it's still cold and I haven't get rid of wearing sweaters and jackets? Anyway, as a new month has approached, and if you are (hopefully) regularly reading career interviews (and hopefully it is inspirational and you take something from it) I have another blogger interview for you. For this month I have interviewed two lovely ladies from A cup of style - Lucie and Nicole. They sisters on the same adventure road, they have shared their passion, stories and plans with their blog. One of successful Czech bloggers, read the full interview bellow.








1.  Introduce us a bit about yourself and your background.

Povězte nám něco o sobě.
Jsme sestry, Lucka a Nicole a už více než pět let se společně věnujeme blogování na blogu A Cup of Style.

 We are sisters, Lucka and Nicole and more than 5 years we have been blogging on A cup of Style together.

2. What are you doing apart from blogging?

Co děláte/čemu se věnujete mimo blogování?
Obě jsme studentky marketingové komunikace na vysoké škole a dále nás baví sporty, cestování, čtení a hlavně trávit čas s kamarády!

 Both of us are Marketing and communication students at the university, additionally we both like sports, travelling, reading and most of all, spend time with friends!

3.When did your blog start and why did you start blogging?

Jak a proč jste začli s blogováním?
První blog jsme si založily pčibližně před 11 lety. V tu dobu to bylo jen tak ze srandy, protože nám přišlo super mít vlastní stránku na internetu. Neměly jsme žádné ambice a náš blog četlo jen pár našich kamarádů, ale už tenkrát nás to bavilo. A zústaly jsme u toho až dodnes :)).

 First blog we created about 11 years ago. At that time it was just for fun, because it was cool to have an own internet website. We didn't have any ambitions and our blog were reading couple of our friends, but we did enjoy it. Thus we stayed until now:))

4. Are you planning to do a full time blogger? Why or why not?
Plánujete se věnovat blogováním na celý úvazek? Proc nebo proč ne?
Takový je zatím plán :). Hlavně proto, že nás to vážně baví a je to skvěý zpùsob, jak si toho spoustu vyzkoušet a hodně se naučit.
That's our plan for now. Mainly, because we are enyoing it and a great way to try and learn new things. 

5.How long does it take you to start monetizing from the blog and what were the first things that make you money from the blog?

Jak dlouho vám trvalo než jste začli si vydìlávat blogováním? A co bylo jako první placená zkušenost?
Trvalo to celkem dlouho, když nepočítáme naše začátky s prvními blogy nekdy ve dvanácti letech, ale posledních 5 let na blogu A Cup of Style, tak to trvalo tak tři roky, než jsme dostaly nabídku na to, že nám někdo zaplatí. Konkrétněto bylo na umístění placeného banneru na blog.

 It took quite a long time, if we don't count our beginnings with frst blogs at age 12, but in the last 5 years at A cup of Style, it took about 3 years until we got an offer that somebody would pay us. Specifically, it was a banner placement on our blog.




6.What are your key income stream? (e.g.: affiliates, banners, advertisements, sponsor posts etc.) and what are their roughly break down? (e.g. 20% affiliates, 30% ads etc.)

Jaké jsou vaše hlavními příjmy v procentech z blogu? (např.: 30% reklamy, sponzorované články, 20%  affiliates …)
Přímo na procenta to vypočítané nemáme, ale převažuje reklama a affiliate odkazy. Sponzorované články nepíšeme skoro vůbec, jelikož se nám moc nelíbí ten koncept..

 Exactly on percentage we don't know, but majority are from advertisments and affiliates links. Sponsored posts we don't have that much, as we don't liek this concept...

7.How is your working day like as a blogger?

Jaký je váš blogerský den?
Náš blogerský den vypadá tak že vstaneme, podíváme se na instagram, facebook,snapchat, youtube, blogger, ask (to už je pomalu poledne :D), potom vyřídíme pár e-mailů, zase průbìžně kontrolujeme sociální sítì, jdeme na schůzku, vyfotíme outfit, připravíme článek nebo video, odpovídáme na otázky a e-maily, podíváme se na blogy a videa, která sledujeme a můžeme jít pomalu spát :))

 Our blogger day looks like that we wake up, check our instagram, facebook, snapchat, youtube, blogger, ask (and thats almost lunch time), then we go to check our e-mails, continuously we check social media, go for a meeting, take an outfit photos, get ready our new post or video, answer to questions and e-mails, check other blogs and videos which we follow and the we can go slowly sleep:))

8.What do you enjoy the most from blogging and what is the most stressful things?

Co vás na blogování nejvíc baví a co naopak je nejvíce stresující?
Na blogování nás baví téměř všechno a je hrozně těžké říct, co nejvíc. Ale když bychom si musely vybrat, tak je to komunikace se čtenáři. Je to až neuvìřitelné, že se nám podařilo vybudovat takovou komunitu lidí, kteří komunikují nejen s námi, ale pomáhají si i mezi sebou. Ale zároveň je to I věc, která nás nejvíce stresuje. Každý den nám chodí tolik e-mailù, zpráv a dotazů, že prostě nezvládáme odpovídat na vše a to nás mrzí.

 We enjoy almost everything on blogging and it's hard to say what the most. But if we have to choose, so it would be the communication and interaction with readers. It is almost impossible that we have managed to build such a large community not only with us, but with each other. But on the same time, it is as well a situation that stress us the most. Everyday we got so many e-mails, messages and queries that we are sorry to be unable to reply to all.

9.Where do you seek for inspiration? / What inspires you? Any other blogger admiring?

Kde si hledáte pro inspiraci? / Co vás inspiruje? / Nìjaké jiné blogerky které obdivujete?
Inspiraci hledáme všude kolem nás, ale nejvíce asi na internetu a sociálních sítích. Máme rády instagram, kde sledujeme hodnì blogerek a občas se inspirujeme jejich stylem a kombinacemi.

 We are seeking for inspiration all around us, but mainly on internet and social media. We like to use instagram where we follow a lot of bloggers and often we get inspired by their styles and combinations.

10. You have created your blogging academy lately, what other projects or work /collaboration are you planning to do in a near future?

 Začli jste nedávno se svou blog akademii, jaké projekty či práce nebo spolupráce plánujete v blízké době?
Ano, blogová akademie je něco, na čem jsme pracovaly poslední rok a máme hroznou radost z toho, jak hezky se to rozběhlo. Je to skvělá příležitost jak předat naše zkušenosti a zároveň se potkat se čtenáři. Momentálne další projekt, který plánujeme je vlastní řada produktů, tak snad to všechno vyjde podle plánu.

 Yes, blogger academy is something that we have worked on the last year and we are very happy that it is running well. It is a great opportunity how we can pass our experiences and at the same time we can meet our readers. At the moment the next project we are planning is to create an own line of products, so hopefully it will go as planned.

11.What are your thoughts on today’s blogging sphere?

Co si myslíte o dnešním blogování?
Myslíme si, že je škoda, že hodně holek si zakládá blog hlavně s vidinou spolupráce a produktů zdarma. Neuvědomují si ale, že za prvé to není tak jednoduché, nic není zdarma a za druhé, že firmy často blogery zneužívají jako takovou levnou propagaci a diktují si neuvěřitelné podmínky spolupráce. Blogování by mělo být hlavne o tom, že to toho čověka bude bavit.

 We think that it is a pity that a lot of girls are doing blog just for the sake of collaborations and products for free. They don't think about the hard work behind it and that it's not easy, nothing is for free and secondly, firms do take an advantage of bloggers as a cheap promotion tool and then tehy dictate strict rules and conditions of collaboration. Blogging should be something that a person enjoys.

12. Any inspiration quote or message you would like to share with readers and those who are as well passionate about going for a blogger career? 

Nìjaké inspiracní veta ci zpráva, které by jste chteli predat čtenárum, které by se chtěli take stát úspěšnými blogerkami?
Když se chce, tak to jde! A to podle nás platí všude :)).
